Reduce My Energy Cost!!
I am currently staring at my electric bill and its says I used 9651Kwh which equates to almost $400.00.
Consequently I am going to see if I can reduce my bill by doing a basic energy audit of my home which; I plan to investigate possible energy leaks. Then I will check unnecessary plugged in devices, such as computers which I know I'm guilty there.
I will also change out all lightning fixtures to CF energy efficient bulbs while also do some minor weather striping of any entry way and check around all window seals for air leaks.
I will post a future report next month to report my findings.
Peace Out!!

dont unplug your desktop
most desktop computers have a small 1 1/2 or 3 volt cadmium bttery in them. it is used to power the bios chip when the PC power has been turned off. The bios chip retains setting about the PC drives, the system clock, and some ohter stuff. It is recharged during off power time using a trickle charger. If you unplug the PC it wont get recharged and you will soon notice tht the clock displayed on your screen starts to lose time, in a matter of a fe weeks the battery will go completely dead and will have to be replaced. when it gets regularly recharged, it will last for years.
